Folk Roots Fringe 2023

Chapel Allerton Festival Folk Roots Fringe is bouncing back again in 2023 after a bumper year in 2022.

The folk fringe is again programmed by Alan Gibson who has a wealth of experience promoting gigs and mini tours with independent label artists at Acoustic Nights @ The Barn, Meanwood; Live @ Costa, Shipley; Hit The North Promotions; and livestreams on the iGigs Online facebook page. In the distant past Gibson toured artists in N Ireland with Paws Promotions; and on moving to Leeds set up Gibsue Mail Order Music and Redsky Music Records. The local popular and novel Chapel A House Concerts was another of Gibson’s inspirations before representing the eccentric and talented American artist Larry Norman in the UK/Europe.

This year the headline show at Seven Arts on Friday 1st Sept, has the popular “breathtakingly beautiful” Jake Isaac as the top billing.
