The Folk Fringe is again programmed by Alan Gibson who has a wealth of experience promoting gigs and mini tours with independent label artists at Acoustic Nights @ The Barn, Meanwood; Live @ Avondale Club, Shipley; Hit The North Promotions; and livestreams on the iGigs Online facebook page. He also enthusiastically encourages local talent at the Music & Words open mic night and at the Closet Psalmists songwriters circle. In the past Gibson toured artists in N Ireland with Paws Promotions; and on moving to Leeds set up Gibsue Mail Order Music and Redsky Music Records. The local popular and novel Chapel A House Concerts was another of Gibson’s inspirations before representing the eccentric and talented American artist Larry Norman in the UK/Europe.
