'Jabbawoki are a lovechild of Ratboy and Arctic Monkeys, with funk undertones.' - 'Sounds of an Eccentric.' The group is a four piece that draw ideas from all corners of music and consists of two guitars, Finlay Vallance and Tom Cranston - on vocals, boomin bass, Matthew Edmunds and the undisputed king of rhythm Max Lord.
Through playing together, Jabbawoki have developed a unique sound which encompass' elements of rap, indie and jazz. After all how many guitar bands incorporate West coast hip hop into their sets?
Sifaka 8.15-8.55pm
Sifaka is a 7-piece band from Leeds, setting stages alight with their fusion of Soul, Rock and African Blues. Growing up with an obsession for the 60s and the music of Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, Sifaka’s sound unleashes powerful riffs, seething solos and soaring vocals. Now, in 2017, they believe the spirit and sound of the blues is to be found in the continent it first came from - Africa. Fusing elements of African blues with their beloved rock music, Sifaka has developed their own unique sound, taking them to the frontier of the blues!

High quality traditional sixteen-piece steelband, originally formed in 1980s at Foxwood School, regularly play the northern carnivals and Leeds local events.
Chapel Allerton Festival Community Choir 3.15-4pm
For 5 weeks over the summer this choir rehearses weekly to perform at the Chapel Allerton Festival
Leeds Samba Unidos do Ritmo 4.15-5pm
Unidos do Ritmo – Leeds Samba is a drumming and dance group open to samba enthusiasts of all ages and origins. Unidos em Ritmo (United in Rhythm) formed in 2016, to be an authentic and regular ‘samba club’ or escola de samba for West Yorkshire and beyond. Our style is the traditional/contemporary urban samba of Brazil, and we enjoy friendship with sambistas all over the UK and the world including close links to São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Lagos, Brighton and London.

Cleve Freckleton is better known to Leeds music fans as Chunky Butt Funky, the soul and funk band he has led since 1999. Chunky Butt Funky have been festival regulars over the years presiding over some of the most memorable crowds of dancing on Regent Street! A local legend Cleve is no doubt set to ensure we finish the night on an absolute Funk high!
