As a festival finale, you won’t find better. Experience the raw power of African voices in harmony. Their pounding rhythms of Africa blend with the explosive energy of the band playing live. A vibrant group of Zulu performers combined with seasoned musicians from the UK mix the ancient traditions with contemporary flare. They first appeared on the Regent Street stage (as “Love Society”) in 2011. Now called Ubunye, they won the 2023 UK Parliamentary jazz award for best jazz ensemble. They deliver a soulful, goose bump inducing performance of original pieces cleverly fused with South African songs. It is a fantastic multi-cultural experience.
