Chapel Allerton Artists are excited to invite you to join them on their annual artists trail taking place on 19th and 20th August 2023 11am – 5pm. Following the success of the trail last they welcome some new artists and new work. It will not disappoint.
A trail map is available to guide you to artists’ spaces where you will get a chance to meet the artists. Many artists this year will be providing talks and demonstrations of their processes and a schedule of these can be found in the trail map which can be picked up for free from Chapel Allerton Library, Seven Arts and local independent retailers around Chapel Allerton.
Artists taking part this year are Richard Locket, Sarah Ayache, Ann Waddington, James Robertson, Lois Whitehead, Jo Dunn, Pippa Woodhams, Jane Storr, Lynette Willoughby, Christina Ward, Wendy Callahan, Jacky Rough, Diane Shillito, Alison Herbert, Karen Gouly and more!
Walking the trail is a free activity for everyone. At each location there will be the opportunity to purchase artwork as you visit each location, but there is absolutely no pressure to do this, all of our artists are passionate about their work and love the opportunity to talk about the processes they use to create.
When you fancy a break, there are plenty of friendly local cafés in Chapel Allerton, such as House of Koko, Crust and Crumb, Deliziosa, Opposite, Seven Arts and North Light, why not pop in for some refreshment on your route or even plan your lunch stop at one of them. You could bring a picnic and enjoy Chapel Allerton Park.
On both days an example of each artist’s work will be hidden in Gledhow Valley Woods, waiting to be found by you. Pictures of the different locations will be posted to Chapel Allerton Artists social media pages, so when you find one it’s yours to keep. So keep your eye on the posts.
We look forward to seeing you out on the trail.
