DESCRIPTION:Olivia Cuttill, who was one of the bright stars of Leeds Conservatoire Jazz Course, is now a London based jazz trumpet player and composer. She brings her all star band back to Seven Arts as part of the Chapel Allerton Arts Festival with her brand new album ‘Writing And Singing And Tunes To Be Swingin’.\nAs the third generation to pursue music in her family (all of which feature on her new album) , jazz and blues are deeply rooted in Olivia’s heritage. Heavily influenced by the sounds of New Orleans, inspired by Louis Armstrong and Dr John and the song writing of Nina Simone and Randy Newman, her sound is rich with soul. Olivia’s approach to composition, story telling and improvisation seamlessly bleed into one, gleaming with conviction, character and captivation.
